- Wilbur loved dogs, always had one in his home. He collected jugs, tiny watch fobs to large bottle jugs. He always had a few chickens and kept sheep on his small acreage, south in Harrodsburg. Located between the old state roads of 37. Wilbur worked at stone quarries in Monroe County until he retired. Mabel worked at Indiana University until she retired. Wibur had Palsy tremors and was bedfast the last years of his life. Mabel kept him home - tended and cared for him. After his death her own health failed and she had trouble with gall bladder and heart. Both sere members of Harrodsburg Church of Christ, non-instrumental.
