MARTINSVILLE — Carl Wesley Knox, Jr., 71, a longtime Martinsville resident passed from this life on Monday, October 5, 2015, at 6:55 p.m. at the St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. He was born December 22, 1943, in Galien, MI, to the late Carl Wesley and Pauline (Russell) Knox.
Mr. Knox was a graduate of Martinsville High School with the Class of 1961. He was a retired self-employed contractor and most recently worked for Wal-Mart in Martinsville where he was a greeter.
He was a member of the Cornerstone Bible Church in Greenwood, IN. His greatest joys were time shared with his family and attending his grandchildren’s activities and golfing.
He married his high school sweetheart, Janet Louise (Sowders) Knox, on July 29, 1962. She survives, living in Martinsville. He also leaves behind a host of loving family including four sons, Scott Allen Knox (Earlene) of Franklin, IN, Wesley Evan Knox (Laura) of Martinsville, Christopher Lee Knox and Joshua Ryan Knox (Jennifer) of Greenwood; brothers, Larry Knox (Sudie) of Indianapolis and Frank D. Knox of Martinsville; sister, Paulette Knox Waltz of Martinsville; and grandchildren, Clayton, Logan, MacKenzie, Lukas, Levi, Christine, Lauryn, Emma and Madilyn Knox.
